Laura & Miles were two of the kindest, warmest souls we had the pleasure of working with this season, and we knew that the day would go off without a hitch thanks to the hardworking & talented ladies at Whim Events. We’d met a lot of other participating vendors earlier in the year at the Boston B List party, the biggest annual Boston wedding vendor party, and had a great time connecting with some of this crew. So when we had the chance to all actually work together for Laura & Miles’ big day, and capture our first Crane Estate wedding film, we knew we were in for an awesome time.
The Crane Estate on Castle Hill dates way back to the 1600’s and sits atop an insanely beautiful outlook on Boston’s north shore. Chock full of history, the property was donated to a land preservation & historic conservation organization in 1945, where it became an outdoor venue for some of the most prolific names in Jazz music including Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and David Brubeck before it was designate as a historical landmark in 1998. Through the early 1900’s there were beautiful rose gardens added, terraces and incredible outlooks sitting atop the Atlantic ocean. It’s pretty much a fairytale-like venue straight out of a Disney movie.
From the incredible first look in the rose garden, gorgeous florals arranged throughout the tent and atop a classic car, to the intimate & personal garden ceremony, the intricate details & emotional moments were something we won’t soon forget. We could feel the emotion building throughout the day, and during the prep moments we spent alongside Laura, which all came to a head just before Laura walked down the aisle where she sobbed in joyful anticipation for what was about to happen. Be sure to watch their film below for that moment – it’s definitely on the list for one of the best moments of this year’s wedding season.
