“My husband and I booked Matt from NEC to do our wedding as sort of a last minute vendor- we had been planning to use a few GoPros to capture our vows and toasts and DIY a video…I saw one of Matt’s videos pop up in a local wedding FB group and was immediately drawn in….Halfway through our honeymoon trip we got to watch our completed wedding video, totally amazed that Matt had already finished it. It was amazing and we have watched it about 5,000 times since. All our family and friends have raved to us about it and how it captured our day so well. I am so, so, so grateful that we decided to get a video. We will definitely treasure this video forever.”

Speechless. These are just a few of the words Maria left for us in her incredible review. I know a lot of vendors say this, and it becomes sort of a cliche statement, but we really do work with the best couples around! We realize our style and story-telling approach is a bit different than some of our competitors, but we like to think our films draw in a unique type of couple. Folks looking for something a bit more personal, emotional and engaging than your standard wedding film; something you can’t quite explain or put your finger on, but something you can feel. So to hear Maria say that our work “immediately drew her in” makes us happy people. It’s what we strive to do.

Maria & Zack were married on a chilly fall day at Lion Rock Farm in the northwestern most corner of Connecticut – an amazingly beautiful part of the state that I admittedly had never visited. Quaint apple orchards, farm-stands, and crunchy leaves lined the rolling hills of Sharon Connecticut. You see, my wife (and therefore I) watched a lot of Gilmore Girls in 2017, and if there were ever a town that embodied the fictional setting of Stars Hollow; Sharon Connecticut is it. A stunning spot for a wedding venue.

Maria, an elementary school teacher, and Zack, a warm-hearted plumber met in high school and grew up by each other’s sides. I was moved by father Francis’ description of Zack & Maria during the ceremony, telling stories of how these two would drop whatever they were doing to help those in need in the community. Kind, self-less people, well deserving of such an incredible day.

We had a blast working alongside the Texas native husband & wife team from Feather & Twine Photography, bonding over tales of glorious Texas BBQ, and adventures on Lake Travis in Austin (Fun Fact: We lived in Texas for 6 years before moving back to the cold north). Some incredible food from the talented crew at Hunt & Harvest was a definite highlight, alongside the gorgeous backdrop & decor supplied by the Lion Rock team made for an all-around unforgettable wedding day.
