Hope Artiste Village Wedding Film [12.16.2017]

It was around 2006 when Andrew and I started working in Johnson & Wales University’s marketing office as student assistants. While not the most glamorous of jobs, it was the perfect starter college gig. They paid us decent, gave us tuition discounts, and pretty much let us make our own schedules built around our coursework. Not bad. There were numerous lunch breaks spent at Jimmy Johns, walking around campus, and even a few parties at our places up on Federal Hill. It was around this time we also met Andrew Chea, Andrew’s best friend and officiant heard here in the film.

As it commonly goes, once college came to an end, and real life reared it’s ugly, responsibility-prone head, we fell out of touch but remained in touch via Facebook, so when he popped the question to fellow JWU grad, and all around awesome person Kelly and asked us to capture their story, we were all in.

The Wedding Day

Kelly & Andrew were married in the very unique & urban setting of Hope Artiste Village, a restored historic textile mill built in 1889, which now exists as a wedding venue, as well as a collaborative community of artists, retail shops, professional office suites and farmer’s market. Definitely our kind of spot.

These two had such amazingly fun personalities, and in the short time we spent with them on their incredible day, you could definitely see why they clicked so well. As best man David mentions in the film, Kelly has such an incredible laugh, and infectious personality. Couple that with Andrew’s quiet jokester demeanor, and you end up with bride, groom, and vendor crew laughing and having a hell of a time all day.

From the incredible early afternoon setting at The Dean Hotel in downtown Providence, to the talented group of folks we worked with, including our friend Amy from A Creative Focus Photography; it was a day to remember, and the best way to end our first full wedding season of 2017. We can only hope the 2018 season starts as incredibly as 2017 finished.

To Andrew & Kelly, thanks so much for entrusting us to capture the most important day of your lives. All the best to you guys on your journey through life, and we’ll see you in Providence some time soon!
